UnderGround Downspout is downspout extension made to keep roof water away from your home’s foundation. It’s entirely underground removing all obstructions versus traditional downspout extensions that lay across the lawn. You can even mow right over them!

How do UnderGround Downspout kits work?
UnderGround Downspouts run maintenance free year-round to properly manage roof water runoff around your foundation. Keeping water away from your home’s foundation is a step in preventing a wet basement. Plus, they blend right into your landscaping and eliminate those annoying downspouts laying across your lawn.
1. Debris filter removes bulk
As water and debris flow from the gutters, leaves and twigs are filtered out at the debris filter. This allows only water to enter the underground system.
2. Water flows to pot
Water flows through underground 4-inch round PVC pipe (sold seperately) that is pitched toward the bubbler pot.
3. Bubbler pot releases water
As the bubbler pot fills with water, the green pop-up lids lifts to release water. If bubbler pot doesn’t fill, water drains from the bottom of the bubbler pot into a bed of rock added during installation.

WORKS WITH ANY STYLE OR SIZE DOWNSPOUT
The universal debris filter is designed to accommodate any downspout. No special fittings or connectors needed. Debris filter simply rests below downspout and water free falls into the angled grate.
WORKS YEAR ROUND FROM FREEZE TO THAW
For those living an a cold climate (like us here in Minnesota!), the debris filter becomes the ice guard during the winter. Water free falls into the debris filter beneath the downspout creating an ice break. Unlike other products that connect directly onto the downspout, this ice break prevents ice build up in downspout that could reach roof line and create damage.
CAN MOW RIGHT OVER THEM
No need to move those annoying downspouts out of the way each time you mow. Simply mow right over them! The rugged, solid green lid can withstand the weight of a riding lawnmower.
SOLID LID KEEPS GRASS CLIPPINGS OUT
The solid, green lid keeps out grass clippings that can clog other underground systems with grate openings.

How far away from my home can I install the Bubbler Pot?
You want to install the Bubbler Pot at least 8 feet out from the home. To go further than 8 feet, you need to adjust the pitch of the pipe for proper drainage. The depth of the Bubbler Pot will be 10-inches, so you simply raise up the height of the Debris Filter and elbow to create the proper pitch for the water to drain into the Bubbler Pot.
Can I use this in freezing cold climates?
Yes! Our company is based in Minnesota they are installed on all of our homes and run maintenance-free year round. During the winter months the Debris Filter will act as the Ice Guard for the downspout by creating a break in the system, which prevents water from freezing vertically up the downspout.
What PVC pipe and elbow do I need for installation?
PVC pipe and elbow are NOT included in the kit, but needed for installation. We recommend a 4-inch thinwall solid drainage pipe. They are sold in 10-foot sections. Home Depot sells this pipe that we recommend.
You will alos need a 90-degree elbow for your 4-inch PVC, also available at Home Depot.
We do not recommend corrigated drainage pipe with the UnderGround Downspout.
How do I replace the green lid if need?

The Bubbler pop up assembly is a wonderful way to get rainwater away from your home. Once you install this device you can mow over it even with a zero-turn mower without breaking the top.
