Drain Main channel sits on top of the footer, above the dirt line, which plug traditional drain tile systems. Drain Main Basement System’s open-back design collects water from all major leak sources in a basement with ease. Wall flanges direct any seepage from the face of the walls down behind the system and into the main hydro flow channel.

Step 1: The floor has to be a minimum of 3-1/2” thick over the footing. Beginning at the sump pump, remove concrete floor away from the wall approximately 6′′ wide and all the way down to the footer.

Step 2: Set a short section of the Drain Main on the footer to verify the back fin of the Drain Main will stick up above the floor surface 1/4″ to 1” after the cement work is finished.

Step 3: Drill weep holes into empty cells in the bottom row of blocks 1/2″ to 1″ above footing.

Step 4: Layout the Drain Main Basement System using the pre-molded corners, inspection ports and sump drop kit until you have a continuous conduit along the open trench.

Step 5: Seams between the main sections should be covered with vinyl duct tape to keep concrete from getting into the system while pouring concrete.

Step 6: Before pouring rock into trench, dig out 2″ of dirt under existing concrete floor. This will help prevent moisture wicking between the concrete seams.
